The district administration published the draft electoral rolls following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Yadgir.Announcing this here on Monday, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Rahul Pandve confirmed that 1,89,233 voters, representing 17.97% of the total registered voters, have been dropped from the draft rolls due to uncollected enumeration forms.Out of the total 10,53,236 electors across the district, 8,64,003 enumeration forms (82.03%) have been successfully digitalized.The remaining 1,89,233 voters have been categorized under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO) classifications.A detailed breakdown reveals that 1,16,937 electors have permanently shifted, 29,026 deceased, 22,507 duplicate enrollments, 17,306 marked absent and 3,457 forms could not be collected due to other reasons.The following is the tracking report highlighting the varying percentages of uncollected forms across the district’s six taluks: Gurmitkal 1,34,694 total voters, 1,04,356 digitalized, 30,338 (22.52%) uncollected forms, Yadgir 2,34,192 total voters, 1,87,454 digitalized, 46,734 (19.96%) uncollected forms, Shahapur 2,31,433 total voters, 1,88,651 digitalized, 42,782 (18.49%) uncollected forms, Shorapur 2,09,476 total voters, 1,75,390 digitalized, 34,086 (16.27%) uncollected forms, Wadagera 1,00,487 total voters, 85,073 digitalized, 15,414 (15.34%) uncollected forms and Hunsagi 1,42,954 total voters, 1,23,079 digitalized, 19,875 (13.90%) uncollected forms.Verification driveMr. Pandve noted that 12,264 electors have been listed under “no mapping”, while 42,798 entries have been identified with anomalies, bringing the total “subject to verification” to 55,062 electors.Official notices will be served to these ASDDO individuals requiring them to present relevant citizenship and identity verification documents before Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs).To manage claims and objections, 67 AEROs assisted by six data entry operators have been deployed across the district:In Shorapur, there are 21, in Yadgir 17, Gurmitkal 15 and in Shahapur 14, respectively, have been deployed.Applications received by AEROs will be forwarded to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) for final decisions. Citizens seeking further redressal can appeal to the Deputy Commissioner as the First Appellate Authority, followed by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) as the Second Appellate Authority.Following the SIR exercise, 28 new polling stations have been established, expanding the district’s total polling stations to 1,162 from 1,134.Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kolar and Assistant Commissioner Sridhar Goture were present.
