Estonia will support the opening of all of Ukraine’s EU negotiating clusters by the end of this year.
Ukrinform reported this, citing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who made the statement during a meeting with his Estonian counterpart, Alar Karis, in Kyiv.
“I thank you for supporting the opening of all the clusters this year. This is very important for us. For Ukraine, this is not just something political; it is motivation for our people,” Zelensky said.
He added that the talks also addressed security threats “at this time and security threats for the winter.” “We need all voices in Europe to speak in support of providing Ukraine with air defense,” the president emphasized.
This was Alar Karis’s final visit to Ukraine as president of Estonia, he said, adding that Karis consistently supported Ukraine throughout his entire term, which coincided with the full-scale invasion. He also recalled that Karis visited Ukraine two days before the start of the full-scale war.
