Mujahid George.

From an eight-year-old prodigy performing at Green Point Stadium to international stages alongside global stars, Cape Town-born entertainer Mujahid George is celebrating three decades in the entertainment industry with a national tour that kicks off in Johannesburg.

Mujahid’s journey began in December 1996, when he won first prize in the Juvenile Sentimental category at Green Point Stadium, now Cape Town Stadium. What started as a childhood performance soon became a lifelong career.

A decade later, an encounter with Grammy winner George Benson at a major Cape Town festival inspired the young performer to dream beyond singing.

Months later, Mujahid was invited to perform at the King of Malaysia’s 50th Independence celebrations. He returned the following year, sharing the stage with Grammy winner Celine Dion.
