Vice President JD Vance said the Trump administration stands behind American businesses that prioritize domestic purchases, workers and investment in U.S. communities.
Vance Calls for ‘Buy American’ Businesses
On Monday, Vance made the remarks during a visit to Compotech, a defense technology manufacturer in Brewer, Maine, where he promoted the administration’s economic and manufacturing agenda.
In a post on X accompanying a clip of his remarks, he wrote, "We want companies that buy American, that hire American, and then invest in American communities."
In the clip, the Vice President said the company represented the type of business the Trump administration wants to support.
