Finland ranks sixth among 38 OECD countries in a new international index, but its position on economic and demographic vitality has fallen 15 places during the assessment period, according to research published by MDI on Tuesday.
The Finnish consultancy developed the EVPY index with funding from Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund. The study tracks OECD countries between 2010 and 2024 using 22 indicators across three areas: vitality, attraction and retention, and social sustainability.
Iceland leads the overall ranking, followed by Switzerland and Norway. Denmark and Ireland also rank ahead of Finland.
