That’s according to the latest figures from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).Finland's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.9 percent in January-to-March period. That was more than twice as strong as the OECD average growth of 0.4 percent.Only South Korea performed better in Q1, with its economy expanding by 1.7 percent.Although Finland showed relatively strong economic growth, it also had the worst unemployment rate among the OECD states, standing at 10.5 percent in March.Spain had the second highest jobless rate at 10.3 percent in March. Both were well over the average OECD unemployment rate of five percent.On Thursday, Statistics Finland reported that job vacancies continued to decline in the first quarter, extending a downward trend that has persisted since 2022.
