The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai was hit.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported this on Facebook.
During the night of August 25, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities at the Afipsky oil refinery.
A fire at the facility has been confirmed. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The Afipsky oil refinery is one of the major oil-processing facilities in Krasnodar Krai. It has a designed capacity of 6.25 million tons of crude oil per year. The refinery produces, among other things, diesel fuel and gasoline components and is involved in supplying the Russian military.
