(Bloomberg) — Stocks rose as a selloff in chipmakers fizzled, while Bitcoin rallied past $80,000 and oil extended declines.S&P 500 futures climbed 0.3%, while those for the Nasdaq 100 advanced 0.6%. Stocks in Europe and Asia were also stronger. Nvidia Corp. was poised to break its longest losing streak since 2022. Brent fell toward $90 a barrel, while gold snapped a four-day stretch of gains. Treasuries and the dollar were steady.Chip stocks are finding their footing a day before the latest earnings report from Nvidia, which has for years been a bellwether for the artificial intelligence trade.
