A Russian drone struck a suburban train in Mykolaiv region, but no passengers or crew members were injured.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national railway operator, reported this on Telegram.

“A UAV struck a suburban train in Mykolaiv region. Passengers and the locomotive crew were unharmed thanks to an early elevated-threat warning and the prompt actions of railway workers during the evacuation,” the statement said.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that its monitoring center, which tracks aerial threats around the clock and warns train crews of danger, issued the evacuation order in advance.

Emergency services and railway workers are already at the scene, dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
