Papastratos further strengthened its position among Philip Morris International’s most important production centers in Europe in 2025, a year marked by strong operating performance and the continuation of its long-term growth strategy, according to its financial results.The company recorded higher sales, an increase in gross profit, improved operating efficiency, stronger productivity and increased exports. More specifically, gross revenue stood at 2.09 billion euros, while net revenue reached 1.02 billion euros, up 12% from the previous year, confirming the continued growth of its core business.Cost of sales amounted to 584 million euros, up 9% from 2024, contributing to an improvement in the gross profit margin. Gross profit reached 434 million, up 18%, reflecting stronger production and commercial performance.Pre-tax profit amounted to 343 million euros, compared with 466 million in 2024. Net profit for 2025 stood at 290 million, versus 423 million in 2024, due to changes in income from equity investments (dividends). EBITDA amounted to 391 million euros.25 million in investments and exportsDuring 2025, the company made new investments totaling 25 million euros as part of an overall investment program exceeding 700 million euros implemented in recent years. The investments focused on further expanding production capacity, upgrading infrastructure and machinery, and reducing the environmental footprint of the plant.A key milestone was the completion of the first major phase of the company’s largest-ever green investment, marking the transformation of its Aspropyrgos factory into a model of sustainable industrial operations.It is an investment implemented as part of Papastratos’ sustainable development strategy and the Zero Carbon Tech program of its parent company, Philip Morris International (PMI), which involves the installation of more than 4,000 photovoltaic panels at the Aspropyrgos plant.According to management, Papastratos’ transformation has turned the Aspropyrgos factory into one of Philip Morris International’s most important production hubs in Europe.With around 90% of its production volume destined for overseas markets, and Japan representing its largest export market, Papastratos is one of Greece’s most outward-looking companies.
