Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Police say that they've found a body believed to be that Karen Solomon, a Massachusetts woman wanted for questioning in the death of her police officer husband.
The discovery comes a few days after police issued an arrest warrant for Solomon. Authorities believe she took her own life, said Chief Paul Saucier of the Worcester Police Department. Police said they found a gun near the body, which was discovered in a wooded area and has not yet been officially identified.
At a press conference Monday, Saucier said the deaths of Karen and Kurt Solomon are believed to be a murder-suicide. Kurt Solomon, an officer in the department, was found dead Tuesday at the couple's home in Worcester, Mass.
Karen Solomon was a founder of a group that advocates for the mental health of law enforcement officers. Saucier said there was no history of domestic violence between the two.
