Some social media users have called for the investigation and possible sanctioning of a Lagos State University lecturer over a result crisis that left some final-year English students uncertain about their graduation.
The reactions followed a statement by the university on Monday, in which it said the results were uploaded on Sunday, August 23, 2026, assuring students who had fulfilled all graduation requirements that they would graduate with their peers in the 2025/2026 academic session.
The university also said no student who had met all graduation requirements would be required to spend an extra year because of the issue.
However, the clarification did not stop questions from X users, with some demanding to know what action would be taken over the delay and whether those responsible would face sanctions.
An X user, Kayode Lawal, asked, “And what’s now the effort put in place to sanction the lecturer that failed to upload the results as due to cause this issue? Abi he has moved on like that.
