MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Obet exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Monday at around 9:30 p.m., the state weather bureau reported.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Obet was last spotted 1,310 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon, packing a maximum wind speed of 155 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 190 kph.
The typhoon is moving west-northwestward at 25 kph.
Obet, which entered the PAR this Monday afternoon, is the 15th tropical cyclone in the country for 2026.
