MANILA, Philippines – The House prosecution panel on Monday, the 17th day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial, asked the Senate impeachment court to subpoena three Armed Forces of the Philippines officials: Col. Manaros Boransing II, Col. Magtanggol Panopio, and Col. Adonis Bajao, for Wednesday, Aug. 26.
The request came after it was announced that Department of Education special disbursing officer Edward Fajarda, also among the prosecution’s witnesses, suffered a stroke and cannot appear before the court.

The examination of hostile witness Gina Acosta, former OVP special disbursing officer, continued throughout the day and generated several sharp exchanges.
