Aug. 24 (UPI) -- San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested on suspicion of engaging in prostitution, Columbiana County (Ohio) court records show.

The East Palestine Police Department arrested York on Sunday. On Monday, he pleaded no contest to an amended charge of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. York paid $1,150 in fines for those misdemeanor charges.

He also was sentenced to one day in jail for each charge.

According to a police report obtained by WKBN, police assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force on York's arrest. The arrest occurred at 9:35 a.m. EDT Sunday at Wheat Hill Mobile Home Park in East Palestine.
