San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York pleaded no contest Monday to two misdemeanor charges after his arrest in East Palestine, Ohio, over the weekend.Columbiana County court records show York's initial charge of "engaging in prostitution" was reduced to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.York was ordered to serve one day in jail for each charge, to be served concurrently, but was given one day of credit for time served. He also paid two fines totaling $1,150.Court records also showed that "$160 seized shall be forfeited to MVHTFF (Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force)." When reached by USA TODAY Sports, the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force did not immediately have additional information.Jed York's history with 49ersYork has been the 49ers' chief executive officer since 2008. Though he long operated as the organization's de facto owner, he officially became the principal owner in 2024, when he purchased additional equity from his mother, Denise DeBartolo York.The 49ers have not responded to USA TODAY Sports' request for comment on the arrest.Could NFL suspend Jed York after 49ers owner's arrest?On Monday, NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed the league will further investigate York for potential discipline."We are aware of the matter which will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy," McCarthy wrote in a statement.The personal conduct policy explicitly mentions owners as one of several groups who "must refrain from conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the NFL.""Conduct by anyone in the league that is illegal, violent, dangerous, or irresponsible puts innocent victims at risk, damages the reputation of others in the game, and undercuts public respect and support for the NFL," the policy states.
