YSR Congress Party West Godavari District president Mudunuri Prasada Raju on Monday attacked the State government over the arrest of former Excise Minister and YSRCP leader Karumuri Nageswara Rao, terming the move as a “political vendetta”.Officials of Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday arrested Mr. Rao in Hyderabad in a money laundering case linked to alleged State’s liquor transportation scam.Speaking at a press conference in Bhimavaram, he said the NDA government targeted Mr. Rao and arrested him for actively working as YSRCP’s West Godavari district coordinator and pointing out the failures of the government. “The arrest of many YSRCP leaders, including Nageswara Rao, aims at attempting to divert the public on the failure of the NDA government to deliver the promises on welfare,” Mr. Raju said.
