Switch has detailed plans for its new data center campus outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

First reported by the Post-Gazette, Switch has filed with Big Beaver Borough to develop ‘Big Beaver Data Center/Switch Pit 01-03,’ a three-building data center campus.

Each facility will total 201,690 sq ft (18,737 sqm). Filed documents suggest the site’s total backup generator capacity will total 270MW. The first phase could launch as soon as January 2028, with all three buildings live by January 2030, according to documents.
