Amazon Web Services (AWS) is exploring the development of a data center at a natural gas plant outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

First reported by TribLive, Amazon is potentially looking at developing a data center campus next to Homer City Redevelopment, a planned natural gas plant near Homer City in Indiana County.

“As part of our commitment to invest at least $20 billion in Pennsylvania, we are evaluating multiple sites across the commonwealth. While we don’t have a definitive agreement in place, we are in discussions with Homer City Redevelopment,” an Amazon spokesman said this week of talks with the company that owns the property.
