MANILA, Philippines — Two students were taken into custody for allegedly threatening to carry out a shooting at a school in Taguig City, police said.
In a statement on Monday, the Taguig City Police Station said the two students would face investigation for grave threats in relation to Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The police did not identify the students, but said one of them was a minor.
The Taguig City government, in a separate statement, earlier said one of the students had used the other’s social media account to post the alleged threat online.
