SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Police are verifying the social media account that posted a warning about an alleged plan to carry out a mass shooting in schools here, a threat that led authorities to send students home on Monday (August 24).
Police Lt. George Andres, deputy chief of the San Antonio Municipal Police Station, told the Inquirer in a phone interview that they have requested verification of the account from the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group in Central Luzon and are awaiting the results.

“Although the account had already been deleted, we were able to recover its web address, or URL (Uniform Resource Locator), which they attached to their request for verification,” said Andres in Filipino.
