PLOY: Hairdresser doll head

A WOMAN, 36, was busted for drug possession after she allegedly tried to smuggle drugs in her hairdresser doll’s head.

According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), the woman was arrested at Bloemfontein’s Bram Fischer International Airport on Saturday, 22 August.

Free State police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thabo Covane explained: “Visible Policing Unit members responsible for crime prevention at Bram Fischer International Airport were alerted by the ACSA Supervisor of suspected material detected by a scanning machine on Saturday, 22 August 2026, at about 11.26am

“The members responded to the call and, on arrival, were pointed to a hairdresser doll head belonging to the 36-year-old female who was about to depart on a flight to Johannesburg. Local Criminal Records Centre experts were also summoned to process the scene.
