Total combat losses among Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to August 24, 2026—amount to approximately 1,478,070 personnel, including 1,490 over the past 24 hours.

This is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.

In addition, Russia has lost 12,293 (+1) tanks, 25,211 (+9) armored fighting vehicles, 48,519 (+68) artillery systems, 2,056 (+2) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 1,586 (+1) air defense systems, aircraft—440 (+0), helicopters—354 (+0), ground-based robotic systems—2,368 (+16), operational-tactical-level UAVs—478,327 (+1,761), cruise missiles – 5,052 (+0), ships/boats – 35 (+0), submarines – 2 (+0), vehicles and tankers – 138,773 (+554), and specialized equipment – 4,575 (+6).
