MANILA, Philippines —Typhoon Saudel is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Monday morning or afternoon, according to the state weather bureau.

This weather system is predicted by the weather bureau to develop into a super typhoon once it enters PAR.

In the 5 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that Saudel was last estimated 1,660 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.

It was carrying a maximum wind speed of 175 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 215 kph.
