RAWALPINDI: A duty magistrate in Rawalpindi on Sunday remanded the husband and servant of Hina Javed in police custody for three days in her murder case.
Hina was found dead in the washroom of her apartment in Askari Apartments in Rawalpindi on Thursday evening. Police said that the body bore signs of torture, with a wire fastened around her neck and tied to the shower rod. They detained her husband and a servant in relation to the case.
Today, the suspects were produced before a duty magistrate by police, who sought their remand for further investigation.
The court granted the Civil Lines police their three-day physical remand, directing authorities to submit a progress report after the remand’s completion.
