When it comes to Korean beauty products, the focus is usually on skin care, but using Korean hair care has been one of the biggest upgrades I’ve made in the past year: specifically, Dr. Groot’s products, which are packed with nourishing ingredients. The two most important ones found across the brand’s entire collection are rosemary oil and biotin, which are believed to boost hair growth and support scalp health.

I’ve now been using Dr. Groot for 10 months, with some variations and additions of specific products used as there have been several new releases in 2026. Around the six-month mark, I started thinking, “Hey, my hair is super long again.” Just two weeks before I started testing the products, I had cut my hair, so that was my baseline. The picture below, on the left, is from the day I got my haircut in September 2025. The picture on the right was taken in July 2026. My hair grew nearly eight inches in that period, which means I’m averaging over half an inch a month. My hair has always been healthy (it hasn’t been colored or chemically treated), but this seemed out of the ordinary. On average, human hair grows about half an inch per month.

I credit Dr. Groot for helping my hair grow so steadily and so strong, as I’ve stuck to using the products — specifically the shampoo and scalp treatments — multiple times a week. Here’s a breakdown of Dr. Groot’s hair care, including my favorite products and the ones I think you can skip.
