Eastern Cape police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of former world champion Zolani Tete and the attempted murder of a woman who was wounded in the shooting.
The Eastern Cape boxing fraternity has welcomed the arrest of two suspects in connection with Zolani Tete’s murder, but says the case will not be settled until police establish who pulled the trigger.
Boxing South Africa provincial manager Phakamile Jacobs said they welcomed the arrest of two people.
However, he said the boxing fraternity would be satisfied only when the person who pulled the trigger is identified.
The two suspects, both men, were arrested on Saturday.
