Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of former world boxing champion Zolani Tete, as Eastern Cape police continue to investigate the shooting and appeal for information from the public.
Eastern Cape police are appealing to anyone with credible information about the murder of former world boxing champion Zolani Tete to come forward as investigations continue following the arrest of two suspects.
On Saturday, IOL reported that police arrested two men, aged 30 and 22, in Ku Gompo in connection with Tete's murder and the attempted murder of a 27-year-old woman who was wounded in the attack.
The arrests followed a swift, intelligence-driven operation involving multiple law enforcement units, police said.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana said the suspects were in custody and were being questioned.
