The Special Operations Team (SOT) of the LB Nagar Zone, along with the Nagole police, busted an inter-State hashish oil trafficking operation and arrested two alleged peddlers and transporters with 14.2 kg of the narcotic substance worth about ₹1.75 crore in Nagole.The accused, Thalle Nagaraju, 30, and Nagula Narayana alias Kiran, 39, are both natives of Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh. Police intercepted them while they were allegedly transporting the hashish oil on a motorcycle towards Gowrelly Road in Nagole on Friday afternoon.Acting on credible information, police conducted vehicle checks at Gowrelly X Road and stopped the motorcycle bearing registration number AP 39 RV 6425. The two men were allegedly carrying separate bags containing seven transparent packets each filled with a black-coloured substance. Police seized all 14 packets, weighing approximately 14.2 kg in total. Two mobile phones, the motorcycle and ₹2,500 in cash were also seized.During questioning, the accused allegedly told police that a man identified as Tamara Gopal, a resident of Singavaram village in Malkangiri district of Odisha, had handed them two bags containing 7 kg of hashish oil each. They were allegedly tasked with transporting the consignment from Odisha border to Hyderabad.Police said Gopal had allegedly offered ₹1 lakh to each of the two accused for transporting and delivering hashish oil in Hyderabad. After collecting the consignment, the two allegedly travelled towards Hyderabad on the motorcycle, using village roads to avoid police checks.The suspected supplier is currently absconding and efforts are underway to trace him and identify the intended recipients.Nagaraju had previously been arrested in a 2023 NDPS case registered at Golugonda police station in Anakapalli district in connection with the alleged transportation of 10 kg marijuana. Narayana was previously involved in a 2023 NDPS case at S. Kota police station in Vizianagaram district relating to the alleged transportation of 140 kg of marijuana.
