The Telangana EAGLE Force and Abdullapurmet police arrested a 30-year-old driver and seized 200 ml (330 grams) of hash oil worth ₹2.5 lakh near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on the Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway on Saturday.The accused, Burse Narendra Srinivas, a native of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh and a resident of Gurramguda, was intercepted after getting off a bus.According to the police, Srinivas had previously been arrested in five NDPS-related cases registered in Saroornagar and Meerpet. After being released on bail, he allegedly resumed drug peddling after finding his earnings as a driver insufficient for his expenses.Police said he came into contact with a supplier, identified as Hari of Paduwa, through Snapchat and began procuring hash oil for sale in Hyderabad and surrounding areas. He allegedly sold 10 ml for ₹1,200 and had so far identified about 10 customers in LB Nagar and nearby areas.Srinivas allegedly travelled to Paduwa in Koraput district of Odisha on August 2 and stayed there for four days before purchasing two bottles containing 200 ml of hash oil for ₹9,000. Police said this was his third purchase from the supplier.He returned to Hyderabad by bus and was intercepted after getting off near the ORR. Police said he deliberately avoided booking tickets in advance and boarded buses en route to evade detection.A case was registered at Abdullapurmet police station under the NDPS Act.
