The person was rescued and the ferry was then evacuated following a threat of a bomb on board the vessel.CalMac CEO Duncan Mackison said: "This is a live incident which is currently developing. CalMac staff and crew are following emergency procedures alongside the emergency services and no injuries have been reported. Crossings range from five minutes to five and a half hours.Today20:47 BSTStatement from CalMac A CalMac spokesperson told the Mirror: "Emergency services are currently dealing with an ongoing incident in Ardrossan harbour following the rescue of a CalMac passenger from the water this evening."A person was reported as being overboard during the passage of the 4.40pm MV Caledonian Isles from Brodick to Ardrossan at around 5.30pm. CalMac crew launched their Fast Rescue Craft and removed them successfully from the sea. HM Coastguard were alerted."A threat was then received that a bomb was on board the vessel, and crew immediately launched emergency protocols. This included launching a thorough search and removing passengers on foot as soon as the vessel berthed."Customers who were on board and those who were at the port were then guided to the nearby Asda car park by police as the search was carried out.
