Police Scotland were alerted at 8.55am on Friday that a passenger was missing from the MS Ambition, roughly 40 nautical miles off Anstruther, Fife. The Ambassador Cruise Line vessel was en route from Lerwick to Dundee as part of the 2026 Solar Eclipse Cruise. A thorough search of the vessel was carried out after it berthed in Dundee before passengers were permitted to disembark. HM Coastguard and Police Scotland are continuing search efforts for the missing passenger, whose next of kin have been notified.
