Daniel Bartel/Getty ImagesAug. 21, 2026 Updated 2:31 pm EDTCurtis Jones has completed his move from Liverpool to Serie A champions Inter in a €35million (£30m) deal.The 25-year-old midfielder travelled to Italy on Thursday to undergo a medical after an agreement was reached between the clubs.Inter will pay €30m guaranteed for Jones with a further €5m to potentially follow in performance-related add-ons. Liverpool have also secured a 10 per cent sell-on clause for the academy graduate, who had entered the final year of his deal at Anfield.
Curtis Jones has today completed a permanent transfer to Internazionale, subject to international clearance.

— Liverpool FC (@LFC) August 21, 2026Speaking earlier today, Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola told reporters that he would have liked to keep Jones but respected his desire to embark on a new challenge.Iraola also backed teenage midfielder Trey Nyoni to step up and help fill the void with Liverpool unlikely to buy a replacement for Jones before the current window shuts.In June, Inter had a bid of around €25m for Jones turned down by Liverpool, who made it clear they were holding out for around €40m.
