Church members in Muragara, Ndia, Kirinyaga County are counting losses after suspected thieves broke into two neighbouring churches.
The break-ins targeted ACK Muragara and PCEA Muragara churches, with the ACK congregation reporting losses of more than Sh400,000.
At ACK Muragara, the suspects forced open the main entrance and ransacked the building.
Church leaders say the thieves took a sound mixer, speaker cables, a water dispenser, kitchen equipment, stationery, and a keyboard valued at more than Sh200,000.
