A businessman operating multiple lodgings in the Imara Daima area has been accused of leading a group of accomplices in breaking into a church, vandalizing property, and stealing items valued at Sh2.871 million.
Kefa Onkoba Getate is alleged to have, on May 16, 2026, at Imara Daima in Embakasi South Sub-County, Nairobi County, jointly with others not before the court, broken into and entered Jesus Creation Church.
The group is accused of stealing assorted Yamaha pianos, a Lead active guitar (Ibanez) and four par can stage lights.
Additional items reportedly stolen include an MG300 guitar pedal, a lead guitar, a four-channel microphone mixer, a 1500W fog smoke machine, and a digital mixer.
The accused and his accomplices are also said to have carted away a digital wall clock, a bass guitar combo, a five-string guitar, two 65-inch LG UHD TVs, an 85-inch smart TV, three audio amplifiers, additional stage lights, and a Canon camera, all valued at a total of Sh2,871,000.
