Russian forces attempted to break through Raihorodok toward Sloviansk but failed to make any gains.

Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Task Force, said this on Ukrainian television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We have just had a small section added to our area of responsibility, including Raihorodok. Activity there is genuinely high. They attempted to break through Raihorodok toward Sloviansk, but they failed. Before that, however, they had made some advances in the area around the village in previous months," Trehubov said.

According to him, Russian forces are currently putting significantly more effort into the area south of the Lyman axis.

"Things are fairly stable there because the Russians are unable to make effective advances on the Lyman axis itself. The engineering positions are well fortified, the UAV system is well established, and so is the strike system," Trehubov said.
