The closure was put into place at 8am today and will remain enforced until 1pm.‌An announcement on the Norwich Airport website reads: "Due to the ongoing industrial action, short of a strike, involving Prospect union members in Air Traffic Control, Norwich Airport will be closed to air traffic between 08:00 and 13:00 on Friday 21 August. Airlines have been informed of the closure.‌"Passengers should check with their airline for the latest information about their flight before travelling to the airport. We apologise to passengers for the inconvenience this may cause."Discussions with Prospect are continuing and we remain committed to resolving the dispute through constructive dialogue." Even more disruption could hit the airport next Friday (August 28) as Prospect union members intend to hold a 24-hour strike.Article continues belowA spokesperson for Norwich Airport said: "It is disappointing that Prospect has chosen to announce further industrial action while negotiations to resolve the dispute are ongoing. We remain firmly committed to resolving this dispute through constructive dialogue and will continue to engage with Prospect with the aim of reaching agreement."Loganair flight LM10 from Aberdeen was scheduled to land at Norwich at 7.55am today but has been cancelled. Similarly, the KLM KL1055 flight from Amsterdam, which was due at Norwich at 9.05am, also didn't operate.Flight TOM5507, operated by TUI, from Palma is still expected to operate as scheduled and land at 12.45pm - 15 minutes before the strike action ends today.
