The Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board has inducted 120 newly appointed headteachers into the leadership of public primary schools in the state.
The Chairman of SUBEB, Olalekan Ifede, who spoke on Thursday at the induction ceremony, urged the new headteachers to justify their appointments by improving teaching and learning outcomes in their respective schools.
Ifede also told the newly inducted headteachers to get ready for rural postings, warning that the government would not accommodate those who consistently rejected postings to rural areas.
The chairman described headship as more than a promotion, saying it was a call to “responsibility, accountability and service” to children and the state.
