The Chairman of the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, Femi Akinwumi, has said only qualified and competent candidates will be considered for employment in the ongoing recruitment of primary school teachers in the state.
Akinwumi said the policy was necessary to ensure quality teaching at the primary school level, which he described as crucial to pupils’ academic development and future educational pursuits.
The SUBEB chairman spoke in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, disclosing that the board had concluded a four-day interview for shortlisted candidates seeking employment in the state’s public primary schools.
He said candidates would be selected strictly on merit and based on their relevant qualifications.
