MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is seeking to attract more American investment in semiconductors, electronics, and critical minerals as the Marcos administration pushes to move the country toward higher-value manufacturing and strengthen its role in global supply chains.
In a statement on Thursday, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto urged US companies to establish and expand operations in the Philippines, particularly in advanced semiconductor packaging, integrated circuit design, research and development, front-end semiconductor capabilities and critical-mineral processing.
