Sassa has announced the August SRD payment schedule for beneficiaries.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has announced that payments for the COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant for August 2026 will be made from August 24 to 26.
The agency urged beneficiaries to check their payment status ahead of the disbursement period to confirm when funds will be available.
Sassa said it is introducing a new digital service aimed at improving access to grant information.
"Sassa is introducing a WhatsApp self-service channel for COVID-19 SRD beneficiaries."
