Georgia senator Jon Ossoff has said it is “amazing to watch this White House melt down” over his comments about President Donald Trump’s executive assistant Natalie Harp.At a re-election rally at the weekend, the Democratic rising star said of Trump: “He golfs and trades stocks. See, he doesn’t want to do the job; he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie to their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”He was referring to the new Air Force One plane, which was donated by the Qatari government last year as an “unconditional gift”.Jon Ossoff ‘s remarks on Natalie Harp and Trump went viral and prompted a fierce response from the White House (Getty)Harp, 35, is one of Trump's longest-serving and most loyal aides. She is reportedly trusted with typing out his Truth Social posts, among other responsibilities. His remark went viral and prompted a fierce response from the White House, with Communications Director Steven Cheung posting on X: “Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics.”He continued: “Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he's a miserable person who hates this country. It's because he's a radical, extremist Dumocrat.”Other MAGA allies also attacked Ossoff. White House spokesman Davis Ingle posted: “Jon Ossoff is a cringeworthy, feminine theatre kid cosplaying as Barack Obama. Nobody gives a shit what this lightweight loser says.”On Monday afternoon Trump dismissed a CNN reporter who asked him about Ossoff’s remarks, instead referring to the senator as “Pee-Wee Herman,” a 1980s comedic character.Natalie Harp, the president's executive assistant, is one of Trump's longest-serving and most loyal aides (AFP via Getty Images)The feud escalated on Tuesday, when Ossoff called Trump “a draft-dodging, crook president who has plunged our nation recklessly into a war he knows not how to end or to win.”On Wednesday’s The Last Word on MS Now, host Laurence O’Donnell aired the clip and asked Ossoff about the comments. “Senator, of all the things you’ve said about Donald Trump – and there are many – this is the one that apparently bothers him and everyone at his White House the most,” O’Donnell said.Ossoff responded: “It’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week.”Referring to Natalie Harp and other staffers, he said: “These White House staffers are adults, public officials paid by the taxpayer with immense power in positions of public trust. And whether it’s Natalie Harp printing out Donald Trump’s daily dose of delusion and flattery, or Peter Navarro steering taxpayer-funded loans to Trump family investments, or Pete Hegseth deluding the president daily into deepening this quagmire in the Middle East, no one cares about their feelings.”
