MANILA, Philippines — The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee (BRC) will leave the recantation of former Marine Orly Guteza to the Office of the Ombudsman, committee chair Sen. Erwin Tulfo said Thursday.
“Ipapasa na lang po namin ‘yun sa Ombudsman. Anything [that] has to do with flood control po na investigation ng Blue Ribbon ibinigay na po namin (We will just turn that over to the Ombudsman. Anything that has to do with the Blue Ribbon’s flood control investigation, we have endorsed already),” Tulfo said in an ambush interview.
The senator was asked whether the panel would take up Guteza’s recent recantation where he withdrew his earlier claims linking former House Speaker Martin Romualdez to alleged cash deliveries from former lawmaker Zaldy Co’s camp.
