There are still 78,300 civilians in the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk municipal communities in Donetsk region.
Dmytro Petlin, a representative of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, announced this during an online briefing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“Currently, there are 42,300 civilians remaining in Kramatorsk and 36,000 in the Sloviansk community,” Petlin said.
He noted that evacuations in these communities are ongoing, with up to 10 evacuation teams from law enforcement agencies operating in the region: these include 7–8 “White Angels” teams from the National Police and 1–2 “Phoenix” rescue teams from the State Emergency Service. Volunteers are also assisting with evacuations in the region; “yesterday, August 18, for example, 14 volunteer groups were deployed,” Petlin noted.
