Palace accepts Sara’s challenge to disclose officials’ travel expenses

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has accepted Vice President Sara Duterte’s call for greater transparency on government officials’ foreign trips, saying it is willing to disclose all travel authorities and expenses issued by the Office of the President (OP).

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the OP has always been transparent about President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s foreign trips, including his official and working visits.

“The Office of the President has always been transparent when it comes to travel,” Castro said in a briefing Wednesday.

“There have even been reports, and you have seen what happened during the foreign trips, official visits and working visits of our President. These are not hidden. They are not being concealed,” she added.
