MANILA, Philippines — Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) on Wednesday vowed to cooperate with authorities and affected families following the school shooting, adding that security footage had been turned over.
AdZU President Fr. Anthony “Ernald” Andal, SJ, said they are closely cooperating with investigators, and he had met with officials from the Department of Education, Office of the Vice President, and other agencies.
“We continue to work closely with police investigators. Yesterday, we turned over relevant security footage to the Zamboanga City Police Office and the CIDG (Criminal Investigation and Detection Group). Members of our school community have also been interviewed to help establish the facts,” he said in a video message posted on Facebook.
“Ateneo de Zamboanga University remains ready to provide any further information or assistance that will help the authorities complete their work as accurately, as promptly, and as thoroughly as possible,” he added.
