A two-day International Conference on Emerging Trends and Sustainable Innovations in Chemical Sciences was inaugurated at Yadava College here on Wednesday.Addressing the gathering, Principal Scientist and Associate Professor, CSIR–Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi, P. Tamilarasan, highlighted the recent developments in research and sustainable technologies. He encouraged students, research scholars, and faculty members to pursue innovative research and translate scientific findings into practical applications for the benefit of society.Research Director, Corrosion Research Centre, St. Antony’s College of Arts and Science for Women, Dindigul, S. Rajendran, highlighted the importance of emerging trends and sustainable innovations in chemical sciences. He emphasised the growing significance of interdisciplinary research in addressing contemporary scientific and environmental challenges.College Principal C. Raju told the participants to actively engage in research, share their knowledge, and develop innovative solutions with practical applications.Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry A. Krishnaveni welcomed the gathering and Assistant Professor R. Deepa proposed the vote of thanks. Over 150 participants from various institutions registered for the event. Participants will present their research findings and ideas on various topics related to chemistry and allied fields.A souvenir with 101 abstracts representing the research contributions presented during the conference was released at the event.
