COTABATO CITY, BARMM, Philippines — The Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) has strongly condemned what it described as “the cowardly ambush” against Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Saturday, Aug. 15.
“This brazen act of violence is an assault not only against the Chief Minister, but against the peace, democratic order, and stability that the Bangsamoro people have fought and sacrificed for over many decades,” the BFP said in a statement
The statement was issued hours after Macacua’s convoy of vehicles were ambushed along the national highway in Barangay Bitu, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte at 4:45 p.m.
