On the occasion of Independence Day, the Rotary Club of Madras East (RCME) has launched Project DARE – Dignity and Rapid Emergency Response, an initiative aimed at providing emergency transportation and support to economically disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals across Chennai. As part of the initiative, RCME donated an ambulance to The Uravugal Trust, sponsored by PP Rtn. K. Surendra Kumar and PP Rtn. S. Prabhu.According to a press release, The Uravugal Trust works with those facing extreme vulnerability including dignified final rites and burials for unclaimed, unidentified and homeless deceased individuals.
