The Rotary Club of Madras (RCM) and Rotary Club of Chennai Legends (RCCL), with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support from Vara Future LLP, donated a fully equipped blood donation van worth ₹35 lakh to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Centre, Kolathur. The mobile blood donation unit was formally handed over by Rotarian AKS. Muruganandam at a function held at Dr. MGR Janaki College, Chennai.The state-of-the-art van will take blood donation services directly to apartments, educational institutions, corporates, associations, and community groups across Chennai at no cost. The initiative is expected to increase the centre’s annual blood collection from 3,000 units to nearly 15,000 units, significantly enhancing its life-saving capacity, said a press release.
